Changes made for boondocking

February 12, 2017 by Chelsea Weisel

Our trailer was made to boondock, so our first experience offgrid for more than two days was really a learning curve. We learned you have to watch your energy use. Two decisions made this boondocking experience worry free.

1. Switching heaters

2. Having extra water on site in the form of a solar shower.

3. We did end up picking up a small Honda EU2000i generator just in case but only fired it up to start the break in process for future use. We're pretty happy with it for when we do need to use it as it is extremely quiet, sips gas, and requires very little maintenance.
